Website and Package is confusing
Dont know where to post this so Im putting it in thr only section with any traffic. Sorry to be critical but your website is awful. I cant even find specs on the plane, like wingspan and weights and other specs. They might be on some screen shots but those are incredibly low res and pixelated. I only know of the 4 x 50mm EDF from your hardware pack page. I'm also not certain which price point or package I need. I have Bambu's and an XL. Do I wait for your gcode files so that I get a better price? Its very confusing. Also $99 seems steep for files. I typically pay 40 to 60 for planes and sometimes less for simpler planes. Im happy to support and want to build your 747 but I would also like a larger variant of possible.
Thanks for designing this and Im…
Hey, thanks a ton for the honest feedback—I really appreciate hearing from someone with your level of experience. I totally understand the confusion about which file package to go with. Here's a quick clarification:
Right now, our pre-sliced G-code files are specifically tuned for Creality-style printers (Ender-3, CR-10, etc.). We spent months fine-tuning these profiles to deliver consistently smooth results without any guesswork. Since you have Bambu machines and a Prusa XL, the best option available right now is our STL + Simplify3D factory file pack. We designed this specifically for Simplify3D because it allows switching seamlessly between vase and non-vase mode within the same print—something that free slicers don't support. This means stronger, lighter, and more complex structures overall. We're actively working on G-code packs for Bambu and Prusa printers, and those are coming soon.
Pricing & Value:
I hear you on the pricing—$99 does feel higher than typical $40–$60 models. The price reflects the depth of detail and extensive R&D we've put into this model over two years. It offers precise scale accuracy, exceptional and predictable flight performance (stall-resistant handling), modular sections for easy transport, a large electronics hatch, spring-loaded latches, magnets, and shock-absorbing landing gear. Additionally, our website itself provides features not typically found on other platforms: we have a revision-request section, downloadable file updates, extensive recommendations with direct product links, and comprehensive parts lists with printable checklists to streamline your build. We also post essential airframe upgrades and file revisions regularly, available as free downloads.
Bigger Size:
As far as a bigger model, the feedback I'm getting is that this jet is bigger than they anticipated. The swept wing doesn't really reflect the size when using a traditional lens for model span. Don't let the 50mm fan size fool you either. It's a 4 engine jet designed to scale at fan diameter. And the aircraft is really light for it's size which allows for a smaller fan.
Support & Next Steps:If you need any assistance with slicing settings, parts sourcing, or assembly, I’m always here to help personally. I've already posted an aircraft spec sheet on the main page, but your feedback highlights the need for better visibility. I'll be repositioning it so you won't have trouble finding dimensions, weights, EDF requirements, and other key specs. Your input genuinely helps us improve, so please keep it coming.
