RULES
FLIGHT REQUIREMENTS: ​​

The Aircraft Must Take Off From The Ground Under Its Own Power.​
​

The Aircraft Must Demonstrate Climbs, Turns, & Overall Stable Sustained Flight.​
​

The Aircraft Must Return To The Take-Off Location & Perform a Safe Landing.​
​

The Aircraft Must Remain Intact.

​WINNER SELECTION:

The first priority is a successful flight meeting all requirements above.
​

If no entrant completes every requirement, the best overall demonstration will be selected by HM3D.
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS:
Before midnight (MST) on Sunday, July 12, submit:

A video link showing the flight.
-
A complete list of electronics used.
-
A summary of any design or airframe modifications.
-
A brief explanation of your control setup and aircraft configuration.

Disclaimers & Important Information

File Package

The free download includes a rough, incomplete development airframe intended as a starting point for the challenge.

Included files contain the overall airframe geometry and dimensions necessary to begin development but are not intended to represent a finished production design.

Basic exploded views and assembly guidance are provided below on this page.
STEP Files

A complete SOLID CAD (.STEP) package is available separately for builders who wish to perform more extensive modifications.

Purchasing the STEP files is optional and is not required to participate.

If the overall challenge winner purchased the STEP package, the purchase price will be fully reimbursed.
File Availability

Challenge files are available only during the challenge period.

Downloads may be removed after the challenge concludes.
Intellectual Property

STL and STEP files remain the intellectual property of HM3D.

Files may not be shared, redistributed, uploaded elsewhere, resold, modified for resale, or used to manufacture products for commercial or financial gain.

Downloading the files constitutes acceptance of these terms.

Liability

HM3D assumes no responsibility for injury, property damage, loss of equipment, unsuccessful builds, or any direct or indirect damages resulting from participation in this challenge or from the use of the provided files.
Submission Rights

By submitting an entry, you grant HM3D permission to display your name, photos, videos, and build information on FlyHM3D.com, YouTube, Facebook, and other HM3D media for the purpose of showcasing the challenge and its results.
Community Builds

Participants are encouraged to share their progress, testing, successes, and failures in the Facebook groups where this challenge originated.

Helping other builders is encouraged and is part of the spirit of the challenge.
HM3D Decisions

HM3D reserves the right to interpret the rules, verify submissions, determine challenge eligibility, and make the final decision regarding prize awards and winner selection.
